CPE Reporting Year: Kick the Turkey Hangover

With Thanksgiving falling on the earliest calendar day possible in 2012, many of us found ourselves limping into the final week of November.  It’s time to shake off the completely unnecessary, yet entirely satisfying amount of food consumed in a two or three day period.  While there are, seemingly, plenty of shopping days left before Christmas, the New Year arrives sooner than anticipated when CPA’s are pressed for time to meet that three-year continuing professional education requirement.  Coincidence or not this time of year, a quick search on the internet may turn up more CPE offerings than Cyber Monday promo codes.

GBQ’s State and Local Tax team has been busy offering CPE as well as attending available seminars wherever possible.  GBQ SALT recently presented a State and Local Tax Update this past November.  Topics covered included recent sales/use tax and income/franchise tax developments, several areas of interest relating to credits and incentives and certainly the ever-popular topic of upcoming state legislation affecting all levels of tax.  If you’re interested in future SALT update seminars let us know and we’ll include you on the invite list.
