I’m not at all sure I should be the one doing this, but I don’t see enough about our great city and the many cool things that are out there that people should be sharing with each other. So here goes. Ridicule if you will that a grey haired guy that wears ties is talking about what’s cool.
The Grange Insurance, Audubon Center at 505 West Whittier Street is cool. As with many new cool things, you may have to suffer through ill-conceived internet-sourced driving directions, but it’s worth it. This conference center is a gorgeous LEAD Certified facility on a little spit of land near the river on the near south side. Our friends at Greif were very kind to sponsor the Columbus Council on World Affairs Luncheon – Vision 2050 Business pathways, opportunities & risks in a sustainable world. The program was held at the Grange-Audubon Center, a very fitting venue for a discussion among global players on the subject of sustainability and business opportunities it is driving. The facility itself is very functional, absolutely beautiful and nestled into an excellent setting. So go see this entry on the Coolumbus map … and bring a compass!
