Public Accounting vs. Health

As busy season approaches here at GBQ and we once again begin working long hours, place our focus on our clients and tend to forget about ourselves. GBQ’s goal to provide excellent service never waivers; however, our health often does. You eat a little more pizza and make it to the gym a little less each week, if at all. “There’s just no time.”  I hear ya!

To remain healthy this busy season, I encourage everyone to:

  1. Get a good night’s sleep (You will be more prepared to handle each day’s hurdles);
  2. Reach for an apple instead of a donut (Yes everyone, Timbits are considered donuts);
  3. Take a lunch everyday  – Nothing is more pressing than your HEALTH (I swear);
  4. Make it a point to do some sort of physical workout three times a week (FYI, juggling debits and credits is not a form of physical fitness);
  5. And last, but not least  -  keep praying for that light at the end of the tunnel (It will come!).

If you can follow these easy steps throughout the next few months, you will, no doubt, come out of busy season feeling ALIVE!
