Apple Pay – Ask Jennifer Lawrence how she feels about Apple’s security.
For those of you haven’t heard of Apply Pay, its Apple’s latest shot at a ‘Pay Pal’ system. While Apple has been in the news a lot lately for the release of the iPhone 6 and the announcements around the Apple Watch, Apple has also been in the news for iCloud users’ accounts being hacked; these users were celebrities who had questionable photos, which were later posted online by the hacker. Apple claims that there was no data breach and the users were responsible for not setting up more difficult passwords. However, the user cannot be fully blamed. Apple could require more difficult passwords or lock an account after more than 3 failed attempts. Today, data breaches or users’ accounts being hacked is all too common. You may remember Target’s data breach last November or more recently, Home Depot was the latest victim in these cyber-attacks. So would you trust Apple’s Pay given their recent track record? I would bet Jennifer Lawrence will stick to ‘Pay Pal’.
