Webinar

The landmark 2018 Supreme Court decision in South Dakota v. Wayfair changed the way that sales tax nexus is determined almost overnight. Nearly three years after the decision, and with almost every state in the country instituting an economic nexus standard, taxpayers are left with the task of determining how to efficiently comply with sales tax collection requirements. However, with a bit of planning and the development of a process, the task may not be nearly as daunting as it may seem.

Join our State & Local Tax Services Director Jeff Monsman and Information Technology Services Director Steve Boston, as well as Smith & Howard’s Partner Tim Howe and Senior Manager Nick Patel as we discuss sales tax compliance strategies, including:

  • The reach of the Wayfair decision and where we stand today
  • Utilizing data analytics in the completion of sales and use tax returns
  • Managing an increased sales tax filing footprint
  • Automating the sales tax compliance process

This webinar qualifies for 1.0 hour of CPE based on Ohio CPE requirements.
