GBQ Prepares for St. Patrick’s Day with Green Bagels

March 1st, 2012 by Sara Robertson

St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and while the majority of people think shamrocks, March Madness, and celebrating an Irish heritage with green beer, around GBQ, St. Patrick’s Day means Green Bagels.

Yep, Green Bagels.
The GBQ Green Bagel Celebration began more than 20 years ago as a client appreciation event. Today, it is one of the larger St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the city, with more than 150 in attendance and 1,000 green bagels. The annual tradition was embraced and encouraged by two of our founders, Jack Boyle and Ron Quillin, both of whom were Irish.

Our green bagels are made from scratch by Bexley based Block’s Bagels, and the event is celebrated with breakfast and good cheer. This year’s party will kick off Friday, March 16th from 7:30 – 9:30 am at our Arena District office. Click here to RSVP.
