Long-time partner and widely-respected central Ohio business leader, Paul Anderson, announced that he will retire from the Firm and assume the role of Executive Director of Operations at First Community Church effective November 15, 2018.
Paul joined the Firm in 1979, became a partner in 1990, and served as Director of Assurance Services from 1990 – 2016. In 2016, Paul assumed the role of Senior Director in a planned leadership transition guided by the partner group. While we are pleased to share this news, we are also sad to say goodbye to a valued member of our leadership team for nearly four decades.
“Paul is an outstanding professional and truly great friend. He was instrumental in building and growing our Firm, and in mentoring many along the way. His dedication to client service has benefited many businesses, along with their owners and families, in substantial ways. For all of his career, Paul has been deeply committed to our community, so this next career step is a perfect opportunity for him. We’re grateful for his years of service, and we wish him all the best in his new position,” said Darci Congrove, Managing Director.
Paul will remain involved on the engagement team of his existing GBQ clients in a consultative role.
First Community is a large church with ~3,000 members, two campuses, a daycare and a camp. Paul has been a member of First Community Church for over 35 years, serving as a deacon, treasurer, board chair and most recently chairman of their capital campaign. In his new role, Paul will be responsible for non-ministerial and programming operations.

GBQ has been my home for 39 years and given me the foundation needed to take on this new venture, allowing me to utilize my skill set well and at the right time in my career. I have had the privilege to serve an incredible group of clients and work alongside some of the most knowledgeable and accomplished people I know,” added Paul Anderson.
