GBQ Partners LLC (GBQ), a Top 100 tax, accounting, and consulting firm, has announced the promotion of Kari Maue, CPA, Director, Assurance & Advisory, Kyle McKee, CPA, MBA, Director, Transaction Advisory Services, and Tara Bollinger, CPA, CMA, CGMA, Director, Tax & Advisory, to Partner.

Meet Kari Maue
Kari Maue joined GBQ in 2023, bringing with her nearly two decades of public accounting experience and a distinguished track record of leading audit and assurance engagements for middle-market and nationally recognized brands. Prior to joining GBQ, she served as Assurance Director within BDO USA’s national restaurant practice leadership team. In that role, she advised clients ranging from emerging concepts to large, multi-unit operators on complex accounting matters, operational challenges, and industry-specific financial reporting requirements.
Meet Kyle McKee
Kyle McKee joined GBQ’s assurance services practice in 2015 after serving three years in EY’s D.C. office. While at EY, he led audits for clients in multiple industries, including aerospace, defense, and real estate. Kyle’s experience includes SEC reporting and requirements related to internal control over financial reporting in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and PCAOB regulatory standards. In 2016, Kyle took a position at NiSource for around three years as he obtained his MBA at The Ohio State University. He rejoined GBQ in 2019 and serves clients across multiple industries, including manufacturing & distribution, construction, and restaurants, within GBQ’s Transaction Advisory Services practice. He primarily focuses on buy- and sell-side financial due diligence.
Meet Tara Bollinger
Tara Bollinger joined GBQ in 2024, bringing with her 19 years in delivering tax and consulting services to businesses and their owners. She has extensive expertise in the manufacturing and distribution, transportation and logistics, and service industries. Her professional journey has centered around maximizing value and empowering decision-makers to make informed choices by leveraging the best available information. Her multifaceted expertise positions her as a trusted advisor capable of providing tailored solutions that align with clients’ unique needs across various industry sectors.
