State & Local Tax Director Takes On Leadership Role

The Ohio Chamber of Commerce serves as the unified voice for businesses across the state. It represents organizations of all sizes and industries. The Chamber’s mission is to champion free enterprise, foster economic growth, and promote a strong business climate throughout Ohio. The organization does this by helping shape legislative and regulatory initiatives that support pro-business policies.
Stamp Brings History Of Helping Ohio Business Community
Matt’s election to the Ohio Chamber of Commerce Board reflects his continued commitment to leadership in the Ohio business community. Prior to being elected to the Ohio Chamber’s Board of Directors, Matt served on the Chamber’s Tax & Public Expenditures Committee and as a subject matter expert for the Chamber’s annual Tax Conference. With more than 20 years of experience in state and local taxation, Matt has worked closely with clients in industries ranging from manufacturing and contracting to retail, hospitality, finance, and professional services. His expertise includes multistate sales and use tax, income and franchise taxes, tax credits and incentives, and economic development strategy.
Before joining GBQ in 2007, Matt held positions with two “Big 4” firms. He is a frequent speaker on tax policy and compliance issues. Additionally, Matt is recognized for his ability to distill complex regulations into actionable strategies that benefit clients and the broader business ecosystem.
