GBQ is pleased to announce Dustin Minton, CPA, Director, Restaurant Services, has been selected to participate at the Restaurant Institute’s Fourth Annual Food, Beverage & Labor Cost Management Summit being held at Nationwide Hotel & Convention Center in Lewis Center, OH, on April 20, 2020. Dustin will lead a session exploring how best to control restaurant costs using industry best practices and internal controls, focusing on inventory, labor, operating expenses and store performance monitoring.

“This event brings together restaurant and food service operators for the opportunity to provide education on operating efficiently and profitably. I am proud to join the program lineup and participate in the sharing of knowledge, experience and strategies sure to be invaluable to attendees,” stated Dustin.

The Food, Beverage & Labor Cost Management Summit is presented by industry expert, international speaker and published author Mark Kelnhofer, CFBE, MBA, President & CEO of Return On Ingredients. In one day, attendees will walk away with an action plan to implement within their operation as they explore how to properly identify costs, develop recipe standards, enhance menu engineering and assess cost control systems.

Dustin serves as a Partner within GBQ’s Assurance practice and leads the Firm’s national restaurant industry practice. He has more than 20 years of public accounting experience, including 15 years working with many of the nation’s fastest-growing restaurants and most well-respected brands across all segments of the industry, including franchisors, franchisees, independents, emerging brands, startups and mature concepts. Prior to joining GBQ, Dustin was a partner and restaurant practice leader at Henry & Horne LLP, BDO USA, LLP, and SS&G, Inc., which was acquired by BDO in 2015. Dustin specializes in providing accounting and consulting services for privately held restaurants and franchisors. In addition to traditional audit, review and compilation services, he also consults with restaurants on best practices related to internal controls, benchmarking, franchise development, corporate structures, financing options and growth strategies.
