Ryan M. Kilpatrick, CPA, CEPA
Ryan joined GBQ in 2017, bringing substantial leadership and technical tax skills to the firm. In 2020, Ryan accepted an opportunity with a local CPA firm before returning to GBQ in 2021.
Throughout the course of nearly ten years in public accounting, Ryan has primarily served closely held, family-owned businesses, advising on tax efficient strategies and incentives, which benefit both the business and its owners. Ryan has also provided significant services to clients on M&A based engagements ranging from the acquisition of a tech start-up to the sale of a multi-national, multi-state manufacturing entity.
Ryan began his career as a revenue agent within the Small Business/Self-Employed division of the IRS and went on to spend four years with the regional firm Clark Schaefer Hackett. Ryan’s experience at the IRS provides valuable insight into navigating the complexities of IRS examination and collection procedures. This insight has led to numerous “nochange” examinations.
In addition to his work at GBQ, Ryan also serves as a board and Finance Committee member for St. Joseph Orphanage.
