Stillman, Arend and Osburn to Speak at OSCPA Not-for-Profit Conference

GBQ associates, Bob Stillman, Andy Arend and Jen Osburn will deliver presentations to attendees at the Ohio Society of CPAs day-long Not-for-Profit Conference on June 6, 2012 in Columbus.

Andy Arend will present on The Ins and Outs of Unrelated Business Income Tax. The session will educate attendees on Unrelated Business Income Tax (UBIT) and the statutory exceptions for what is included. Andy will explain how to minimize the tax burden from UBIT and the proper ways to structure UBI activities. Bob Stillman will lead the Nonprofit Organizations Accounting and Auditing Update session which will discuss the recent accounting and auditing standards that are affecting nonprofit organizations, in addition to reviewing other resources for accounting and auditing guidance. Bob and Jen Osburn will both present in the Governmental Auditing Standards and OMB Circular A-133 Update. The session will provide a review of the recently issued Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book) and the recent OMB A-133 Compliance Supplements and related auditing considerations.  Click here to view the conference brochure.
