Not likely in my opinion. I read this blog post the other day “McGladrey,Grant Thornton, BDO Will Break into Big 4 By 2019, Says Guy on Twitter”. I think it is completely illogical. Per review of the “2013 Accounting Today’s Top 100 Firms” from Accounting Today, the revenue gap between the Big 4 and other firms is so large that even if the next 5 largest firms combined, they would still be well short of KPMG who is the smallest Big 4 firm. Basically, short of another Arthur Anderson melt down, the Big 4 will remain just the Big 4, sorry Guy on Twitter.
What do you think?
