Lisa Patt-McDaniel set out for a career in politics and local government, first supporting the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Ohio and later working with the State and Local Government Commission. Realizing her passion for people and public service, Lisa began contributing her efforts toward community and economic development with the Ohio Department of Development for 20 years, followed by the Ohio Capital Corporation of Housing and the Affordable Housing Trust for Columbus and Franklin County.

Now the CEO of the Workforce Development Board of Central Ohio, the roles which Lisa held throughout the years constantly evolved, but her purpose of empowering growth of people, communities and businesses remains constant. Every day, Lisa works to develop relationships and services related to community development, including housing matters, leveraging resources, and convening community development officials around common issues. An instructor at The Ohio State University and passionate about fair wages, job quality, and becoming an employer of choice, there’s no denying Lisa lives by one of her favorite quotes, “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”
