GBQ Finds Continued Growth In Cincinnati
GBQ Partners LLC (GBQ), an INSIDE Public Accounting (IPA) Top 100 tax, accounting, and consulting firm headquartered in Columbus, OH, announced, effective Dec. 13, 2024, it had acquired Cincinnati CPA firm Wirth Lowe Wissemeier CPAs, Inc. (WLW), and its team of tax and accounting experts. Following the acquisition, WLW associates will serve clients from GBQ’s Cincinnati office at 4030 Smith Road, Suite 400, Cincinnati.
GBQ Partners’ acquisition of WLW will further expand and strengthen the company’s market presence while continuing to uphold the firm’s commitment to empowering the growth of its employees, communities, and clients.
As part of the acquisition, GBQ also announced that Glenn Wissemeier, CPA, and Beth Herman, CPA, will join the GBQ team as partners. The duo brings extensive experience in business income, sales, property, and employer tax planning; individual income tax and wealth planning; estate and gift tax planning; multi-state income and sales tax; and cash flow forecasts and project planning.

Robert Wirth and Steven Lowe founded the WLW in the mid-1980s. In 2004, after nearly a decade of working at Grant Thornton, Wissemeier joined its ranks. In 2006, after being named partner, “Wissemeier” was added to the firm’s legal name, and WLW was formed. Herman was brought on in 2007 after building her experience at Grant Thornton and, later, Cincinnati Bell. In 2009, she was named partner.
