Mr. Valyko joined GBQ Capital Advisors in 2023 with more than 15 years of financial experience serving public and private-sector clients for financial and tax reporting, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate strategic planning matters. He has extensive expertise across various industries, including industrial products, automotive, retail and consumer products, manufacturing, distribution, construction, and professional services, among others.
Mr. Valyko advises both publicly traded and privately owned companies on purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment testing, business enterprise valuation, stock-option valuation, and the valuation of various intangible assets (e.g., trade names and trademarks, patented and unpatented technology, know-how, and customer relationships, etc.), utilizing multiple forms of the income, market, and cost approaches. His experience spans a diverse client base, from regional middle-market businesses to multi-billion-dollar SEC reporting enterprises, private equity, and accounting firms.
Additionally, Mr. Valyko advises executive teams on decision-making in a strategic context through pre-transaction advisory services, examining various performance scenarios and associated risk benchmarking.
Prior to joining GBQ, Mr. Valyko served as Senior Vice President in Stout’s Corporate Valuation Advisory practice. He is a member of the American Society of Appraisers, holding the designation of Accredited Senior Appraiser.
