GBQ is excited to announce Thomas De Filippe is the New York Director of Practice Growth in the Valuation and Financial Opinion Services Department of GBQ Consulting LLC.
Mr. De Filippe is a corporate finance professional with over 30 years of diversified experience including business valuation and commercial bank lending. He provides valuation expertise to middle market companies, their accounting and law firms, financial advisors, business consultants, private equity firms, as well as bank and finance companies in the valuation of their clients’ businesses.
Mr. De Filippe has also been on “the other side of the table,” having served as Chief Financial Officer in two middle-market companies where he was actively involved in financial reporting issues, the corporate valuation process, and general corporate finance matters. He also served as Senior Vice President of a New York Commercial Bank where his experience encompassed lending to many industries such as manufacturing (both domestic and international), technology, media and publishing, computer software, construction and related services, retail chains, apparel and textile, wholesaling and distributing, and professional services.

Mr. De Filippe has served as a board member of numerous commercial and community-based organizations, along with serving on the Transition Committee of a prior New York City Mayor based on his knowledge of private business needs.
Mr. De Filippe has lectured at middle-market finance conferences on various lending and corporate financial planning topics.
Mr. De Filippe holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Economics from St. John’s University and a Masters in Business Administration, Finance from Hofstra University. He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Commercial Finance Association, National Association of Corporate Directors and Turnaround Management Association.
