GBQ is proud to announce Shaun Powell, CFM, CMA, CPA, Director of Finance, has been appointed to the INSIDE Public Accounting Advisory Board. The purpose and mission of the Advisory Board is to assist the Platt Group/INSIDE Public Accounting in growing their business, identifying opportunities and threats, and expanding products and services to better serve their current and future clients.
The Platt Group, based in Indianapolis, was founded in 2006 by Mike and Kelly Platt. Together, they purchased the independent publication INSIDE Public Accounting, formerly known as Bowman’s Accounting Report. The Platt Group is dedicated to helping firm leaders, and their firms, achieve their ultimate potential by researching the latest trends, benchmarking leading firms and working with leaders to share and garner knowledge.
Shaun is a graduate of University of Notre Dame and serves as a board member of the Notre Dame Alumni Club of Columbus. He is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and the Ohio Society of CPAs.
