GBQ is pleased to announce Kaz Unalan, CPA, Director, Tax and Business Advisory Services, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio.
Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The Christian housing organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit working in more than 1,300 communities throughout the U.S. and in more than 70 countries. Families and individuals in need of a hand up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home, and achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance needed to build better lives for themselves. Since 1987, Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio has partnered with a broad coalition of individuals, churches and businesses to serve more than 300 families in Franklin and Licking counties.
Kaz joined GBQ in 1999 with a focus to provide tax compliance and consulting for middle market, closely held businesses and their owners. Kaz also leads GBQ’s Succession Planning Services and is the tax practice leader for restaurant and real estate industries. He is also part of GBQ’s Transaction Advisory Services Group assisting clients with their tax planning, structuring and due diligence needs.
