David joined GBQ in 2015, after having served credit unions for more than 22 years while at American Share Insurance (ASI). Prior to his departure from ASI, he served as ASI’s Director of Special Actions, wherein he was responsible for the financial monitoring of all company clients and was tasked with the oversight and resolution of problem credit unions.

Throughout his career at ASI, he was responsible for the financial and operational audits and financial analyses for clients with assets of up to $4 billion, supervision and management of financial analysts and audit personnel, operated credit unions lacking requisite managerial staff, performed merger due diligence and led other specialized engagements relating to complex products and services.

David’s 28 years of credit union expertise encompass many areas of lending, including commercial, participation and indirect programs, ALL methodologies, strategic planning and budgeting, risk management/mitigation, complex investment portfolios, asset/liability management and assisting clients with regulatory framework.

At GBQ, his extensive experience has made him a key individual within the credit union practice for the performance of client audits, internal audit and interim engagements, quality control oversight and specialized consulting services. His experience, skills, knowledge and dedication to the credit union industry over a career spanning nearly three decades has provided an invaluable resource to many credit unions across the nation.
