When tasked with describing her personality using only hashtags, Monica favored #LovingLife #NeverMetAStranger #SmileOften. While there’s no doubt these qualities have contributed to her success as a sales, business development, and marketing leader in start-ups and Fortune 500 companies for over 15 years, we have a few more to add: #PSICoOwner #WomanInIT #GoalChaser.

Like many who find themselves on a career path they never anticipated, Monica didn’t set out for a career in sales, much less in the information technology space. It was, however, her fascination with the human psyche, and subtle guidance from a close friend, that opened her eyes to a world of opportunity. An industry leader in a male-dominated field, Monica continues to inspire and pave the road for the next generation, having just recently been named co-owner and chief client officer of a well-established IT consulting and staffing company, PSI (Proteam Solutions Inc.). Perhaps serving as evidence that persistence, passion, and a “can-do” attitude will pay off… Monica had asked the then-owner and founding CEO (and former Empower Hour guest!) Keith Stevens for equity in the company from the time she joined in 2013!

While Monica can check one large goal off her list, this Columbus Business First 40 Under 40 honoree is already envisioning what she will accomplish next.
