Buckeye Resources, Inc. (“Buckeye”) has been acquired by Oldcastle APG (“Oldcastle”) an operating subsidiary of CRH, a world leading building materials company. Footprint Capital, LLC (“Footprint”) acted as the exclusive sell-side advisor in the transaction and GBQ’s TAS practice provided sell-side due diligence support.
Buckeye Resources was established in 1984 by Richard E. Posey and specializes in manufacturing, packaging and delivering high quality mulches to customers from its facility in Springfield, Ohio. Buckeye has been a market leader, serving the lawn and garden industry through both the retail and wholesale channels. Similar to Oldcastle APG’s Lawn & Garden business unit, Buckeye Resources serves a wide variety of customers, channels and segments in its geographical area.
