GBQ is pleased to announce that Beth Mast, CPA, Senior Manager, Human Resources, has been honored with the 2022 HR Impact Award by Columbus Business First.
Designed to recognize the people charged with maintaining company cultures, the HR Impact Awards initiative launched in 2021 as an offshoot of the publication’s Best Places to Work program. In its first year as a standalone program, 18 local human resources professionals have been recognized for demonstrating a specific and tangible impact on their workplace. At GBQ, Beth leads the initiative to expand and create innovative and meaningful programs to engage associates and create positive, unique experiences while exemplifying and instilling the firm’s brand attributes. As a result of Beth’s commitment to empowering growth of our people, GBQ continues to be recognized for its workplace culture where diversity is encouraged and celebrated, as evidenced by workplace satisfaction awards in Columbus, Cincinnati and Toledo.
“Beth was promoted into our human resources leadership role at the end of 2020 – an immensely challenging time to find and retain talent, and to support a workforce with very diverse needs,” shared Managing Director Darci Congrove. “As she has done in each of her roles at GBQ over the last 12 years, Beth embraced the challenge and managed through every issue that came her way with patience, professionalism and empathy. Following graduation from The Ohio State University, Beth joined GBQ’s tax department in 2010 before joining the human resources team in 2016. Since attaining the department’s leadership role, she oversees initiatives surrounding GBQ’s talent acquisition and development strategies, performance management processes, and employee relations.
