GBQ Partners LLC (GBQ), a Top 100 tax, accounting and consulting firm, is pleased to announce the transition in leadership within its Assurance Department. Effective January 1, 2024, Mary Stucke will assume the Director of Assurance Services role from Tom Powers.

Mary joined the firm in 2007 after starting her career with Grant Thornton in Cleveland, OH. With 20 years of experience, including performing and managing audits, reviews, and various other business consulting projects, Mary has a diverse client base and expertise in multi-company accounting and complex financial reporting. She also has experience serving some of our most complex private companies, SEC audit and advisory clients. Her commitment to empowering growth, strategic thinking, and dedication to client satisfaction make her well-suited to lead the Assurance Department into the future.
Tom Powers, a seasoned professional and esteemed member of GBQ, will continue to contribute to the success of the firm in his role as a partner. This announcement is part of a planned transition at GBQ to leverage the strengths and expertise of its leadership team for continued growth and success.
Tom will remain an integral part of the firm as a partner serving clients in the assurance practice and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. His leadership has been instrumental, and GBQ looks forward to his continued guidance.
